Yeah, we had one like that when I was there....it would jam at least once on every 100 round belt. Overall, they were pretty reliable, but remember the saying: "your weapon was produced by the lowest bidder".
It scared the Fudge out of me a couple of times when it jammed at an "inopportune" time.....and it "ran away" on me once when we were doing a Recon by fire while advancing mounted in-line. I slammed the thing straight down and had to break the belt to stop it....the back of the trigger-group just fell out of the damn thing! I damn-near nailed the guys in the track in line next to us, and was not well-liked for a few days.....
After a couple of trips to the Armorer without fixing the problem, it accidentally fell off our track and ended up being run over by an M-60 when we were on bridge duty and it had to be DX'ed.
We took a little flack for being "careless with government equipment", but we got a replacement that worked.
