On Feb 6, 1968 I was in the .50 cal machine gun hatch on Butch's track when we got blown up. According to guys who came to see me in hospital in Japan, the Vietnamese had scavenged an unexploded American bomb and placed it in the drainage pipe under the roadway. Butch was driving and we were the first track to run over it. The bomb went off right under the driver's seat so Butch was never aware of the explosion. Hope you can locate some pictures and talk to other guys who were there.
