That's pretty close to what the Casualty Officer told Butch's Dad as he relayed it to me. "Never knew" what hit him.
Thank you for confirming that... something I always wondered about. I wish his Dad could have heard this from you as he was in denial that it was actually Butch and always "hoped" he was MIA or even a POW. Spent more than a few evenings listening to Butch's Dad, "wondering" about it.
