I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I am sitting here drinking my annual eggnog the same as the last 41 years while I remember that Christmas 42 years ago. Someone stopped a truck outside Uplift and stole some of what was supposed to be a Generals eggnog headed for a party somewhere. At least that is the story that I was told at that time. I remember that they wanted the evidence disposed of and I was only too happy to help. So every Christmas since I have taken the time to sit aside with my eggnog and my memories and drink a toast to all those of the 1/50th Infantry--Past--Present--and Future.
