Gary,

I didn't know until today the Battle of An Bao has a Wikipedia page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_An_Bao

The page references this book, published (or updated?) in 2017: https://history.army.mil/html/books/091 ... 1-15-1.pdf The section "Ambush in Binh Dinh Province" on page 547 is the reference.

Just wanted to share for anyone who hadn't seen this source or for anyone finding this thread from an internet search.

Thanks RJ.... I didn't know about the Wikipage on the battle but have read the referred chapter in the book which leaves a bit to be desired on accuracy

Jim Sheppard will attend. Booked at the Hampton Inn in Jasper.

The Wikipedia reference is copied from Erik Villard's book and has LTC Carter as the Commanding Officer of the 1/50th...in error. Erik has been notified and has promised to change the on-line download of the book...and future editions will also be changed.

Good chance we will gather at this restaurant next door to the Jasper Hampton: https://www.schnitzelbank.com/Menu

Looking forward to seeing everyone who attends on May 5th. This will be my first "May 5th" gathering...other than those which coincided with reunions.

Just a housekeeping note to all of us Missouri boys

John Topper reminds that Jasper is in the eastern time zone
