Death of former SSG Robert Lieneck, "D" Co.

Barabra just 'sniffed out" this information on one of the General Orders I just obtained. Former Staff Sergeant Robert Lieneck, Of "D" Company, died on July 10th, 2010 in Fayetteville, NC.

I remember him well, big mustache, sun glasses all the time, he was a good guy, wouldn't ask you to do anything he wouldn't do himself. I remember him in maybe jan. to late feb. and then I don't know what happened to him. He was really fun to be around, and not scared of nothing. Glad to hear he survived the war, and sad to hear of his passing, rest in peace Sarge.

By the way, I ran across Lieneck's 2nd oak leaf cluster Purple Heart yesterday while processing the General Orders for the 173rd I picked up a few weeks back. He was wounded three times. It is reflected on the Obituary page I created for him on our "Taps" page.
