Thanks to Mick's Facebook observations (which I'm not on but plan to change) and Jim's diligence in posting Patrick's obituary I was made aware of Larry's and Jeanie's tragic loss. I hadn't heard before reading it here. It gave us time to prepare for the trip to Indianapolis and Toby Milroy, my wife Mary, and myself made it to the memorial service and met with Larry, Jeanie, their sons John and Chris, and their daughter Jerry. I wore my 1/50th dress shirt to represent our battalion and met some of Larry's Ranger brothers as well as some friends of Richard Gasaway, a member of Larry's LRRP team, that Larry had met at the Kokomo reunions. The memorial service included masonic ceremony, words from his pastor, and stories from Patrick's siblings. It went very well and Larry and I promised to meet again soon.

Jim I want thank you again for posting this information and keeping me from missing this important time with Larry. You are, my friend, the gift to this battalion that keeps on giving and so many of us are so very thankful for you. God bless you, the Larry Curtis family, and all past, present and future members of the great 1/50th Infantry Battalion.
