Thanks Mick! Hope you have a good day!

You "sparked" me to go out and plant my Charlie Company, third platoon Guide-on under the US Army FLag I have flying today. I bought the US Army flag specifically because I am surrounded by Marines and Navy guys...being near Camp Pendleton and San DIego.

Also, today I heard from the sister of one of our KIAs. Robert McMillin, of Boiling Springs, SC, who was severely wounded on October 30, 1969...and later died of his wounds on November 7th. I had visited his home town in 2013 and obtained a photograph at his former High School. I had also made contact with his Brother, but we only spoke once. Today, McMillin's sister sent me a nice note thanking me for my efforts to memorialize his service. I am going to respond and ask her to consider attending our next reunion.

I have no special plans for this Veterans day, but will have you all in my thoughts on this day. I was surprised to learn that many businesses are closed today for the holiday, including my wife's employer, Wells Fargo.

It is nice to be recognised for our service after being pretty much ignored for many years.

Thank again Mick...and all my friends associated with the 50th Infantry.

I would like to thank you all for your service. I am so grateful you were a part of my dad's life. I am missing him today, especially.

Sincerely,
