Mini-Reunion

Postby kenr17331 » Sun Aug 30, 2009 7:04 pm

Gentlemen: (and ladies):

It was great seeing everyone at the reunion in Fort Benning. As I mentioned there, and for those of you who were not at the reunion: I will be holding a mini-reunion sometime next September (2010). Three particular places have been mentioned by the member I spoke with: Gettysburg PA, San Antonio Tx; and a three-day cruise to the Bahams.

What I am looking for is a vote for all you folks on where you would like to go and if you could attend a mini-reunion next September. Please contact me by end of September 2009 as to place and if you could attend, so I can start digging into costs and setting osmething up. more to come in the next couple of newsletters. Watcjh for details here and there.

Later

Living in Oklahoma City, I would prefer San Antonio.
My F.O. that was in my track from the 1/69th Armor at LZ Action, when we got hit by a B-40 at Bridge 18, requests San Antone also.
And more than likely Col. Woodall, our Batallion Commander from College Station, Tx., prefers San Antonio.

Hello ,

Gettysburg would work for me. There is a stong possibility that I might be able to coax a few New Englanders
who have never been to go. Seeing its so close.

Later, Frenchy

PS San Antonio is a good second choice, been there a few time its awesome !

Hello to you all, It looks like Gettysburg is getting alot of attention. I just wanted to give a short details of a cruise from whatever port and destination that someone might like to visit. Diana and I ( Tom Clark) have been on 11 cruises since 2000. Many of the ports have shuttle service to and from airports etc to get you to the ships without having to come in a day early or stay later. Another thing to consider is that all your great meals and cabin on the ship is included in your purchase price except for the tipping policy which is adjustable by every individuals preference. There are many activities for the guys and ladies that want to do different things at certain times like men chatting and women at the spa, bingo etc. Its very relaxing or it can be busy and thats up to an individual. Sept. and Oct are a couple of the cheapest months to cruise to many locations in the Carribean from ports in Texas, or Alabama or Florida etc. If you want check out some of the prices like on Carnival for MILITARY RATE or 55 Rates you will find that some of the many more nights cruises are cheaper than the 3 nighters. For example a Cruise for just went out of Tampa, Fl. for the fee of $311 a person for 7 nights on the Carnival Legend of the Seas. Remember these cruises like to cater to customes also, so you get fantastic service and maybe see some different parts of the world that may be of interest to some. These are nothing like the ship we went over to NAM on, This can be very fun and interesting. If anyone wants to talk more about it feel free to contact me and I will help out answering questions that anyone might have. Tom & Diana Clark
