This year's setting was enhanced with the vast improvements made by the battalion during the year prior to the reunion.
Well over 200 civilians and soldiers sat in the U-shaped theater setting which seemed very intimate, particularly for these solemn services.
Most in attendance were strangers, but we all held the common bond of a relationship in one form or another to 50th Infantry soldiers who made the "Ultimate Sacrifice" in Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan.
Thankfully, the forecast rain showers held off until the very end of the services.
