I remember this scene like it was yesterday.  Our first "foray" into the Vietnamese countryside from LZ Ichiban...and several APCs got stuck in the muck just before dark!  We sat there until well after dark when they finally got a "Daisy chain" hooked up.  I know this was somewhere west of Ichiban....and we were on our way back east to the LZ when we got mired down.  It may very well have been in the area of An Bao! (But in the wet season...obviously)
