All were allowed to leave the ship and walk to the NCO club where we were challenged to try to "drink the club dry". We made a valiant effort...but the booze never stopped flowing. The circus return to the ship that followed was being enjoyed by those who remained behind to watch the drunkards stagger back for the final voyage to Vietnam!
