We rode along the southern edge of Lake Đầm Trà Ổ. Since the unimproved road that bordered the lake was often mined by the enemy,
we were forced to ride through the rice paddies. Most of us were not aware of how detrimental this was to these villagers.
True, many of these vilages were populated by Communist simpathizers, however this practice certainly did not do much for our cause.
