For New Years Eve, 1967-8, myself (pictured in the center) Gene McGee, Victor Willoughby and Fred Maida (not in this photo) took a 3 day R&R to Vung Tau and then hitched a ride to Saigon for New Years Eve! Fred Maida had a cousin with the MPs in Saigon and I took us to a hotel I frequented while in Saigon TDY in early 1967.
