Our yearly May 5 Memorial Luncheon will be held in or about Santa Claus, Indiana this year at a location yet to be determined depending anticipated attendance. Spouses are welcome. I didn't know until today the Battle of An Bao has a Wikipedia page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_An_Bao

The page references this book, published (or updated?) in 2017: https://history.army.mil/html/books/091 ... 1-15-1.pdf The section "Ambush in Binh Dinh Province" on page 547 is the reference.

Just wanted to share for anyone who hadn't seen this source or for anyone finding this thread from an internet search.

The Wikipedia reference is copied from Erik Villard's book and has LTC Carter as the Commanding Officer of the 1/50th...in error. Erik has been notified and has promised to change the on-line download of the book...and future editions will also be changed.
