Former 1/50th member
Posted: Sun Apr 11, 2010 2:27 amI was at Costco (expensive trip!) a week or so ago and noticed a fella coming down a side aisle with a Cav patch on his cap. I made it a point to say something to him and as we chatted I mentioned serving in the 1/50th. Immediately he replies with "Play the Game!" Turns out he took basic in Delta 1/50th @ Ft. Hood in 1958. 
He is retired MSG James E. McDonald. We had a nice chat while his wife shopped. He has since sent me some documents I will forward to Jim Sheppard as I'm certain he will be interested in them.
