Ron was a Medic with 2nd Platoon, A Company on 5 May 68 and was severely wounded and suffered the rest of his life due to the injuries sustained on that date.
When I last talked with him, probably shortly before his death, he had no recollection of the battle or how he got the wounds that lingered through his life.
