I. Acceptance of Terms

The Association of the 1st Battalion 50th Infantry (hereafter, the “Association”) welcomes you to our message board and website services located on the web at: http://www.ichiban1.org/board. This Acceptable Use Policy may be updated periodically without notice to you, the “User,” and may be reviewed at http://www.ichiban1.org/board/policy.html. As a condition of using Association owned or operated website services, you agree to be bound by and adhere to the principles set forth in this Acceptable Use Policy.

II. Privacy Policy

Disclosure of personal information is not a requirement of using Association website services. The Internet Protocol address (“IP Address”) of message board users is recorded in the message database.

III. Conduct

You, the user, understand that all information, data, text, photographs, video, and all other materials, whether publicly or privately transmitted or linked, are the sole responsibility of the person from whom such content originated.

You agree to not use the Association message board to:

a. directly post, transmit, or otherwise make available any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another’s privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically, or otherwise objectionable;

b. impersonate any person, organization, or any other entity, or otherwise falsely misrepresent your identity as or affiliation with any other entity;

c. directly post, transmit, or otherwise make available any content that you do not have a right to make available under any law or non-disclosure agreement;

d. directly post, transmit, or otherwise make available any content that infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other proprietary rights of any party;

e. directly post, transmit, or otherwise make available any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, “spam,” chain letters, pyramid schemes, or any other form of solicitation, except in those instances where appropriate permission has verifiably been granted by the Association;

f. directly post, transmit, or otherwise make available any material that contains software viruses or any other malicious computer code or any file designed to interrupt or limit the functionality of any Association website services;

g. disrupt the normal flow of dialog by “flooding” the message board with “junk mail” messages;

h. intentionally or unintentionally violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law;

i. collect, store, or transmit personal data about other users or individuals in connection with prohibited content and activities set forth above.


You understand that the Association cannot pre-screen, and cannot be responsible for, any content made available through the Association website services. The Association retains the right (but not the obligation), in its sole discretion, to amend or remove any content that violates this Acceptable Use Policy or is otherwise deemed inappropriate. You agree that you must bear the risks associated with the use of any content made available on the Association message board, including any reliance on accuracy or completeness of such content.

IV. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold the Association and its officers, agents, and members harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorney’s fees, made by any third party due to or arising from content you post, transmit, or otherwise make available through the Association message board, your violation of this Acceptable Use Policy, or your violation of any rights of another.

V. Modifications to Website Services

The Association reserves the right to modify or discontinue the message board or any other website service, at any time and for any reason, without prior notice to you. The Association will not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification or discontinuation of services.
