Steve Jordan KIA August 25, 1968

August 25, 1968 my best friend and fellow forward observer Steve Jordan was killed in a firefight halfway between LZ Schueller and LZ Action south of QL 19 while attached to the 1/50. I think of him often and still remember the practical jokes he played on us at LZ Schueller while we were standing down there. He was a California "surfer dude" and died way too soon. It was my honor and pleasure to have served with him.
