From the Fort Dix Reception Station, we were bussed to Philadelphia International Airport where we boarded an American Airlines Prop Plane bound for Dallas, Love Field. It was my first time on an airplane! The stewardesses were all drop-dead gorgeous and the food was exceptional (Yes...they served full meals and drinks...for free!)...there was still smoking on airplanes as well. I recall it was a long flight and we made about 4 stops along the way. By the time we got off of the plane and loaded on Buses for Fort Hood, I was a seasoned traveller!
