REMF Private Sheppard! After my few months as the forward area Company Clerk for Charlie Company, I bounced around to several jobs. I worked as a typist for a while in the S-1 Tent under CPT WAlter Gunn...typing up General Orders, etc. Years later as the Association Historian, I likely copied some of the documents I typed during this time while doing research at the National Archive Text Records facility in College Park, MD.
This photo was during my last few weeks with the 50th Infantry in Late May or early June of 1968 while helping out with the Charlie Company Maintenance section.
